Summary: Works alongside the Site Services Foreman to deliver snow and ice management, grounds maintenance, and landscaping for industrial and commercial properties, as contracted or instructed. Performs hands-on work year-round and helps lead crews and complete routes when the foreman is on another site.
Essential Functions:
· Assist the Site Services Foreman with all snow removal, grounds maintenance, and landscaping work on industrial and commercial properties
· Operate plow trucks, skid loaders, snow blowers, mowers, trimmers, and other equipment as assigned
· Plow, shovel, and blow snow, and apply salt or other ice melting agents during snow events
· Perform mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, planting, pruning, and seasonal cleanups
· Lead small crews or complete routes independently when the foreman is on another site
· Inspect completed work and sites for quality, missed areas, and hazards, and report issues to the foreman
· Perform daily equipment inspections, fueling, and basic maintenance, and report mechanical issues promptly
· Record service times, completed sites, and materials used, including photos when required
· Help train and guide shovelers and seasonal workers on routes, site standards, and safe work practices
· Load, transport, and unload equipment and materials between sites
· Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and adhere to the business management system (BMS), as applicable
· Assist with any other duties as assigned
Schedule & Availability:
· Full-time, year-round position covering both the snow and grounds seasons
· On call throughout the snow season, approximately [November through April], including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Must be able to report within [60 minutes] of a call-out
· Regular daytime schedule during the grounds season, with occasional extended days
Basic Requirements:
· 1+ year of experience in snow removal, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements
· Ability to operate, or learn to operate, plow trucks, skid loaders, and commercial mowers
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently or as part of a team
· Basic computer, smartphone, and written/verbal communication skills
· Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
· Physical ability to shovel snow for up to several hours continuously
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience on industrial or large commercial properties
· Experience leading or training others
· CDL or willingness to obtain one
· Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks, plows, mowers, and small engines
