Site/Civil Field Labor - Sprinturf LLC

About the Position

We are hiring three Site/Civil Laborers and Equipment Operators to join our field construction team working primarily on sports field and site/civil construction projects.

We are looking for experienced construction professionals who have a strong understanding of earthwork, excavation, drainage, concrete, site preparation, and grading. Candidates should be comfortable operating equipment and performing hands-on construction activities as part of a field crew.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on site and civil construction activities


• Assist with excavation, earthwork, grading, and site preparation


• Install storm drainage and underground piping


• Perform fine grading and aggregate placement


• Operate skid steers, excavators, compactors, and other construction equipment


• Assist with laser grading and machine-control operations


• Read and work from construction plans and grade information


• Assist with field layout and measurements


• Perform compaction and subgrade preparation


• Load, unload, move, and stage construction materials


• Maintain tools and equipment


• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite


• Follow project specifications and direction from the Working Foreman


• Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements


• Work as part of a crew to complete projects efficiently and accurately

Qualifications

• Previous experience in site/civil construction


• Experience with earthwork, excavation, drainage, grading, or site preparation


• Sports field construction experience is strongly preferred


• Experience in operating construction equipment


• Ability to understand basic grades, elevations, and slopes


• Ability to read and understand construction plans is preferred


• Experience with laser grading systems is a plus


• Experience with machine-control systems is a plus


• Valid driver's license


• Reliable transportation


• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions


• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work


• Willingness to travel to project locations as needed

Travel, Lodging & Per Diem

Our projects may be located throughout Indiana & Michigan (potentially surrounding states). Company-provided lodging and per diem will be included for qualifying out-of-town projects.

Employees will not be expected to cover their own lodging when traveling for company work. Per diem will be provided to help cover meals and other incidental expenses associated with approved project travel.
