The Social Media Coordinator reports to the Marketing Director and is a hands-on content professional responsible for managing social media channels, content calendars, photography, and digital content creation. Social media, content creation, and photography are at the core of this role, supported by video production, copywriting, influencer and brand partner coordination, and marketing analytics. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, adaptable, and able to maintain an active content calendar while independently developing and executing engaging content across multiple platforms.
Primary Competencies
Social Media Management — Ability to independently manage business social channels, including content planning, publishing, community engagement, platform upkeep, brand consistency, and performance monitoring.
Content Planning & Calendar Management — Ability to develop, maintain, and execute organized content calendars that support campaigns, promotions, events, partnerships, and ongoing brand initiatives.
Content Creation — Ability to independently develop engaging visual and written content tailored to social media, digital marketing, promotions, events, and other brand channels.
Photography — Ability to plan, capture, and professionally edit high-quality product, lifestyle, promotional, partner, and event photography.
Strong Secondary Competencies
Video Production & Editing — Ability to capture and edit high-quality short-form and promotional video content for social media, digital marketing, events, partnerships, and other marketing uses.
Influencer & Brand Partner Management — Ability to coordinate content, timelines, deliverables, communications, and activations with influencers, ambassadors, brand partners, and other external collaborators.
Working Competencies
Graphic Design — Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with the ability to create and modify social, digital, promotional, and event-related marketing materials.
Copywriting — Ability to develop clear, concise, and engaging copy for social media, email, promotional materials, partnerships, and other brand communications.
Marketing Analytics — Ability to monitor social, email, content, and campaign performance and use basic marketing metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Event Content Coordination — Ability to support conferences, activations, store events, and promotional activities through content planning, photography, video, social coverage, influencer or partner coordination, and related marketing needs.
Vendor Management — Ability to coordinate effectively with influencers, freelancers, photographers, agencies, production partners, and other external resources to ensure marketing deliverables meet expectations and deadlines.
