Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in cloud infrastructure, mobile systems, and data-driven applications. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to work independently, and proven experience managing technical project documentation, scopes of work, and architecture estimates.

Key Responsibilities & Project Scope

  Application Architecture: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of customer-facing mobile and cloud-based solutions.

  Technical Ownership: Author comprehensive technical documentation, including software requirements, system architecture specifications, and project estimates.

  
  


• 
  

  Systems & Data Integration: Build and maintain scalable backend services while integrating spatial, location-based, and enterprise data streams.

  
  


• 
  

  Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate complex operational needs into robust software deliverables.

  
  

Required Qualifications & Technical SkillsCore Experience

• 
  

  10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications.

  
  


• 
  

  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field (equivalent practical experience considered).

  
  

Technical Stack

• 
  

  Backend & Cloud: Solid experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, RDS/Postgres), containerization (Docker), and message brokers (ActiveMQ).

  
  


• 
  

  Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and SQL. Frontend exposure (React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) is a plus.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring & Tooling: Experience using Firebase, Sentry, and modern CI/CD ecosystems (GitHub, GitLab).

  
  

Domain Expertise (Preferred)

• 
  

  Spatial & GIS: Hands-on experience working with location-based data and platforms such as Mapbox or ESRI.

  
  


• 
  

  Transportation & Logistics: Prior working knowledge of railroad, transit, or large-scale operational logistics systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Cross-Platform Development: Exposure to React Native or Expo is desirable.
