THE JOB:

Step into the spotlight as a Conventions & Banquet Sous Chef at MGM Grand, where you’ll help orchestrate unforgettable culinary experiences that wow every guest! With your skill and creativity, each dish becomes a showpiece—crafted to the highest standards while delivering bold flavors and stunning presentation. Every plate you send out won’t just satisfy—it will leave a lasting impression.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain quality and proper presentation of food

• Drive the customer relation management system by ensuring that all such orders are handled correctly

• Communicate with chefs, management, employees and guest efficiently with proper reporting, and meetings

• Schedule and maintain the budgeted labor costs as well as potential food cost

• Understand and utilize Stratton Warren system properly for purchasing, release orders and cost transfers

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

• 2+ Years of prior relevant experience working a high-volume culinary environment as a Chef

• 5+ Years of prior relevant experience in a high volume, with strong food knowledge, hotel/casino environment preferred

• Associate's degree in F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute preferred
