THE JOB:

Join our team at Tap as a Sous Chef and play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences at MGM Northfield Park. You will assist the Executive Chef in leading a talented kitchen team, maintaining high operational and financial standards, and ensuring meticulous inventory and supply management. Your leadership will help foster a collaborative environment focused on guest satisfaction. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including managing fiscal budgets, scheduling, inventory control, and executing menu strategies to achieve profitability goals.

• Ensure adherence to restaurant policies, training programs, and health and sanitation standards while fostering compliance and completion of necessary staff training.

• Assist the Executive Chef in creating a positive work environment through effective hiring, training, performance feedback, and promoting teamwork and employee satisfaction.

• Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience, address any complaints promptly, and ensure seamless collaboration between kitchen and service teams.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant or fine dining establishment is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of food and health safety codes is required.

• Previous experience managing employees in a union environment is preferred.
