Spa Manager Resort Spa Operations & Guest Experience

Lake Lawn Resort is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Spa Manager – Resort Spa Operations & Guest Experience to lead the daily operations of our Spa & Wellness department. This position is responsible for overseeing spa services, team members, guest experiences, inventory, purchasing, financial controls, and day-to-day operations while maintaining the high standards of service expected at Lake Lawn Resort. What You’ll Do

• Oversee the daily operations of the Spa, ensuring exceptional guest service, treatment quality, cleanliness, and overall resort standards. 
• Lead, train, coach, schedule, and develop Spa team members while maintaining appropriate staffing levels based on business needs and budget. 
• Recruit and interview Spa staff and address employee performance in accordance with company policies. 
• Maintain and enforce Spa procedures, service standards, opening and closing procedures, safety practices, and training requirements. 
• Stay current with spa, wellness, beauty, and hospitality industry trends to support new services, products, and business opportunities. 
• Manage Spa inventory, purchasing, retail products, supplies, and cash-handling procedures to maintain accurate controls and minimize waste. 
• Monitor treatment rooms, facilities, equipment, and guest areas to ensure they are clean, safe, properly maintained, and professionally presented. 
• Oversee payroll, labor forecasting, department budgets, revenue, expenses, and other administrative responsibilities. 
• Partner with Sales, Conference Services, and Catering to develop, promote, coordinate, and book Spa services for conferences, groups, and special events. 
• Build strong relationships with guests and meeting planners while identifying opportunities to promote Spa services, packages, and retail products. 
• Communicate regularly with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager regarding department operations, staffing, financial performance, and business opportunities. 
• Conduct monthly Spa department meetings and participate in department head and other resort meetings as required. 
• Maintain required employee and departmental documentation and ensure compliance with resort policies and procedures. 
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, revenue, and profitability. 
• Assist other resort departments and serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager.

 What We’re Looking For

• Previous Spa Manager, Spa Director, Spa Operations Manager, Wellness Manager, Salon Manager, or hospitality management experience preferred.
• Experience managing a hotel, resort, day spa, salon, wellness center, or similar guest-service operation preferred.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop employees.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of spa operations, treatments, products, retail, and guest service standards.
• Experience with inventory management, purchasing, cash handling, payroll, budgeting, and labor forecasting.
• Knowledge of current spa, beauty, wellness, and hospitality industry trends.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift and move spa products, supplies, linens, and equipment.
• Ability to move throughout treatment rooms, retail areas, and other spa facilities.
• Ability to respond to guest and operational needs throughout the property.
