Pay: $80,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Location: Exton, Pennsylvania – Primarily on-site to encourage collaboration and mentorship, with potential for hybrid or remote flexibility after an initial in-office period based on performance and business needs.

Note: Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar and have direct experience handling special education matters for schools or educational institutions.

Job Description

  • Represent school districts, charter schools, and educational institutions in special education and student-related legal matters.
  • Attend due process hearings, appeals, mediations, manifestation determination reviews, and resolution sessions.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, settlement agreements, and legal memoranda.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal and state education laws and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare witnesses and manage witness interviews.
  • Attend board meetings, administrative proceedings, and client meetings.
  • Manage multiple active matters while providing responsive client service.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across education and litigation matters as needed.

Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of special education law experience preferred; candidates with exceptional credentials and additional experience will also be considered.
  • Experience representing schools or educational institutions in special education matters.
  • Strong legal writing, research, advocacy, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and case management abilities.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Collaborative, client-focused professional.
  • In-house and solo practitioners with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Salary Bands (Only if attorney role):

  • 3 to 5 years: $80,000 to $110,000
  • 5 to 7 years: $110,000 to $135,000
  • 7+ years: $135,000 to $160,000
