Provides leadership, administrative oversight, and instructional guidance to ensure compliant, high-quality educational programs for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include managing Individualized Education Program (IEP) compliance, coaching staff, developing curricula, and providing professional development.
? Compliance and Legal Oversight: Ensure all special education services, IEPs, and 504 plans comply with federal and state regulations (e.g., IDEA).
? Staff Supervision and Evaluation: Observe, mentor, and coach special education teachers and support staff (para-educators).
? Curriculum and Instruction: Develop, implement, and monitor specialized curricula and instructional strategies tailored to student needs.
? Student Support Services: Assist with referrals, evaluations, placement decisions, and behavioral support (FBA/PBSP).
? Data Management: Maintain legal records and analyze student performance data to drive decision-making.
? Drive improved student outcomes through data-informed instructional strategies.
? Reduce compliance risk through proactive monitoring and staff training.
? Travel Required
? Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
? Experience working with budgets and resources effectively.
? Intervention Specialist License: Required
? Education Required:
o Bachelor’s degree , Master’s degree preferred
? Experience preferred:
o A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in SPED leadership
