Location: Santa Cruz, CA

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  Must have an appropriate California Special Education Teaching Credential, i.e., Educational Specialist – Moderate Severe Disabilities, Extensive Support Needs OR Specialist Instruction, Severely Handicapped.

  Must have EL Authorization.

  
  


• 
  

  Possession of a Bachelor's degree.

  
  


• 
  

  Prior teaching experience including experience and/or training within the domain of the required credential.

  
  


• 
  

  Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying.

  
  

Job Description

• 
  

  Providing directed learning experiences for students with severe cognitive disabilities and/or behavior disorders.

  
  


• 
  

  Help in the continued development of basic living and social skills and foster independence.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate activities of aides and volunteers in various directed learning locations.

  
  


• 
  

  Assess and manage student behavior and progress.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform related instructional duties as assigned.
