Special Education Teacher | Autism & IEP Experience | Manor, TX

Every student with autism experiences the world differently. The classroom that works for one child may not work for another. It takes a teacher who knows how to read a student, build trust and design an environment where that child can actually grow.

This role is for that teacher.

A school district in Manor, Texas is looking for a Special Education Teacher to work with elementary and middle school students with autism in both self-contained and inclusive classroom settings. This is a contract position running from October 8, 2026 through May 28, 2027.

What you get:

• $45 to $50 an hour


• 37.5 hours a week, Monday through Friday


• A defined contract with a clear timeline


• A caseload of approximately 8 students giving you the space to serve each one well

What you will be doing:

• Delivering individualized instruction to students with autism in self-contained and inclusive settings


• Developing, implementing and monitoring IEPs in compliance with IDEA and Texas special education regulations


• Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans and evidence-based positive behavior supports


• Modifying curriculum and assessments to meet each student's unique learning needs


• Monitoring student progress, collecting data and maintaining required documentation


• Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, SLPs, OTs, PTs and families


• Participating in ARD meetings and district required trainings

What you need to bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field


• Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification


• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and Texas special education regulations


• Experience working with students with autism or in a special education classroom preferred


• Experience implementing behavior intervention strategies preferred


• ESL or Bilingual certification is a plus

This is a full time onsite contract role in Manor, Texas starting October 8, 2026.
