Position Details

• Position: Special Education Teacher


• Location: Anoka, MN, with additional openings in Andover, Blaine, Coon Rapids, and other locations within the school district


• Contract: 2026-2027 school year


• Start: ASAP


• End Date: 06/10/2027


• Schedule: Monday-Friday


• Hours: Approximately 35-37.5 hours per week


• Setting: On-site


• Student Population: Elementary through High School


• Caseload: Approximately 8-10 students, depending on location


• Multiple Openings Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in center-based special education classrooms.


• Develop and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student learning needs.


• Differentiate instruction and respond appropriately to student behaviors.


• Establish and implement classroom behavior expectations and behavior plans.


• Collaborate with parents, related service providers, and paraprofessionals.


• Provide direction and support to paraprofessionals working with students.


• Complete compliant special education documentation using the SpEd Forms platform.


• Support students in achieving their academic, behavioral, and individualized education goals.

Qualifications

• Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4  Minnesota Special Education teaching license required.


• Experience working with students in center-based special education settings is a plus.
