Special Event EMT

• Patient Care: Provide emergency and non -emergency medical care in line with current standards and guidelines.
  
• Emergency Response: Act calmly and efficiently in emergency and non -emergency situations.
  
• Patient Assessment: Evaluate the nature and severity of injuries or illnesses to prioritize medical procedures.
  
• Documentation: Complete patient care forms, insurance forms, and other necessary documentation promptly and competently.
  
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an inventory of necessary medical supplies.
  
• Certification: Keep all required certifications up -to -date.
  
• Equipment Management: Conduct pre -event checks of medical equipment and restock supplies as needed.
  
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all medical interventions, adhering to company policies and confidentiality requirements.
  
• Communication: Use radio and other communication tools professionally, respecting confidentiality at all times.
  
• Inter -Agency Cooperation: Collaborate effectively with event staff, volunteers, security teams, and other agencies.
  
• Privacy: Protect patient privacy in accordance with ProAction Privacy Policies and federal and state laws.
  
• Sanitation and Quality Assurance: Maintain a clean and ready work environment, adhering to quality standards.
  
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with patients, colleagues, and the public.
  
• Meetings: Attend all scheduled and ad -hoc meetings.
  
• Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Clinical expertise in basic and/or advanced life support.
  
• Effective team player with strong communication skills.
  
• Decisive and capable of making quick judgments.
  
• Familiarity with current healthcare standards and equipment usage.
  
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet program demands.
  
• Attention to detail is a must.
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be eligible for Texas or New Mexico certification as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic
  
• Current AHA BLS (CPR) certification
  
• NIMS IS -100
  
• NIMS IS -200
  
• NIMS IS -700
  
• NIMS IS -800
  

Preferred Requirements:

• National Registry EMT certification
• At least one year of experience in EMS or a related field.
  
• Advanced Providers: Current AHA ACLS certification.
  
• Advanced Providers: Current AHA PALS certification.
