Special Events/Community Development Coordinator

S. Clyde Weaver is looking for an energetic, outgoing, and organized Special Events/Community Development Coordinator to help grow our presence and relationships throughout the communities we serve.

This position will develop relationships with local businesses, community organizations, schools, churches, nonprofits, clubs, residential communities, and other groups while creating events and opportunities that bring customers into our stores and introduce them to the S. Clyde Weaver brand.

The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people, building relationships, planning events, and finding creative ways to connect a local business with its community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate a minimum of 8-12 meaningful in-store special events and community activities at our retail locations.


• Develop relationships with local businesses, community organizations, schools, churches, nonprofits, clubs, residential communities, and other groups and organizations.


• Identify opportunities to increase customer traffic, sales, and awareness through events and community partnerships.


• Promote S. Clyde Weaver's deli, café, catering, party trays, specialty foods, and seasonal offerings to businesses and organizations.


• Develop partnerships and sales opportunities for corporate gatherings, meetings, celebrations, fundraisers, and other group events.


• Build relationships with local tourism businesses, hotels, attractions, and other organizations to help introduce visitors to S. Clyde Weaver.


• Work closely with store managers and the marketing team to plan and promote events and community initiatives.


• Represent S. Clyde Weaver at community meetings, networking events, chamber events, tourism activities, and other local gatherings.


• Support community outreach and relationship-building for new store openings.


• Help strengthen S. Clyde Weaver's visibility and involvement in the communities we serve.


• Bring new ideas and creative opportunities to help our stores become active and valued members of their local communities.

Qualification and Training:

• Experience in event planning, sales, hospitality, retail, tourism, community development, or a related field.


• Be outgoing, personable, and comfortable meeting and talking with new people.


• Have strong relationship-building and networking skills.


• Be organized and able to manage multiple projects and events.


• Be creative and able to develop engaging events and community experiences.


• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Be self-motivated and comfortable working independently while also working as part of a team.


• Have an interest in local businesses, community organizations, food, hospitality, and the Lancaster County community.

Schedule:

This position requires Saturday availability so ideal work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday. Must be able to travel to S. Clyde Weaver farmer's market locations as well as retail location.
