Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Special Projects Integrated Projects Team Lead (Level 4) to support the Space Electronics Programs team in El Segundo, CA!

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate team communications across the reporting spectrum, ensuring a consistent understanding of key issues and actions impacting cost and schedule execution.
  • Resolve issues through collaboration with partner organizations.
  • Drive the Common Products Catalog to periodic release and continuous improvement, optimizing the business portfolio and minimizing new designs and associated development risks.
  • Lead monthly performance reporting in collaboration with team leadership.
  • Collaborate with Common Products and Engineering leadership to ensure new business proposals adhere to the Common Products Catalog and technology roadmaps.
  • Work with the Business Transformation team to communicate the processing of Capital funding requests, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of status and actions required to complete the funding evaluation process.
  • Employ time management skills to ensure all commitments are met across a diverse set of tasks.
  • Lead reporting for Common Products (5-15 reports) to ensure consistent communication up through senior leadership.
  • Identifying key stakeholder project-specific objectives and requirements.
  • Act as a liaison across departments, ensuring strategy is translated into clear, actionable plans.
  • Ensuring assigned team members execute identified tasks and provide appropriate tracking and reporting as per the project plan.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of projects, culminating in lessons learned and historical reports for future project planning.
  • Assessing team performance and providing feedback to management.
  • Developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading cross-functional teams or projects to successful completion
  • 5+ years of experience of communications with both internal and external customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with the El Segundo Satellite Feeder Factories and experience in producing products that meet customer requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools effectively.

Travel: Some travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $126,650 - $171,350
