Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a 3D Animator for its in‑house Creative Services team. This role supports the creation of 3D renders, animations, and video content for marketing, customer engagements, events, and internal communications. The animator works collaboratively within the creative team, contributing to projects from concept through delivery while receiving guidance from senior team members and the Creative Services leadership. The role focuses on translating technical subject matter into clear, visually compelling content that aligns with company brand standards.  

Essential Functions:

• Model, light, animate, and render three-dimensional (3D) content that visualizes products, systems, and capabilities for marketing, events, customer engagements, and internal use.


• Assist in editing and finishing video content, incorporating animation, motion graphics, audio, titling, and live footage under direction from senior creatives. 


• Translate engineering or technical information into accurate, accessible visual stories, working closely with engineers and program teams with support from senior staff as needed. 


• Use AI-supported tools where appropriate and in alignment with company policy to enhance workflow efficiency. 


• Manage individual tasks and smaller components of larger projects, maintaining organized files and meeting deadlines under guidance from team leads. 


• Apply brand standards across delivered assets to maintain consistent color, type, motion, and tone. 


• Collaborate with creative peers, marketing partners, and internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining quality and accuracy. 


• Support the maintenance of shared asset libraries, project files, and render pipelines for team-wide usability. 


• Travel up to 10% may be required for events, shoots, or on-site production support. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Proficiency with industry-standard 3D tools such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Unreal Engine, Maya, or 3ds Max, and rendering tools such as Redshift, Octane, or Arnold. 


• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects and Premiere Pro. 


• Familiarity with color grading, basic compositing, and sound design.


• Experience with motion graphics and 2D animation. 


• Comfort working with CAD or engineering model data. 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $73,000 - $135,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $63,500 - $117,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
