We are seeking a talented individual to join our Broking team at Marsh. This role will be based in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Senior Vice President (SVP) in Broking, you will manage overall interaction with clients in medium to large client transactions. You will utilize your knowledge of client industries to analyze risk reports and develop innovative approaches to meet complex client needs, articulating the value to clients. You will contribute to the firm’s body of knowledge through active internal communication, helping colleagues better serve clients. Building and solidifying strong relationships with insurers, reinsurers, clients, and colleagues will be key, as well as leveraging specialists across the firm to deliver best-in-class solutions.
We will count on you to:
- Manage overall client interactions in medium to large transactions, ensuring client needs are met with innovative solutions.
- Analyze risk reports using industry knowledge and articulate value propositions to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, reinsurers, clients, and internal colleagues.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing to enhance client service capabilities.
- Oversee responses to client queries and concerns, ensuring timely and complete resolution.
- Participate in revenue and budget processes with the management team.
- Review and clarify contract documents, bond forms, and banking terms and conditions.
- Guide clients on General Agreement of Indemnity terms for surety transactions.
- Review financial statements across industries, applying specific industry financial metrics.

- Extensive experience managing client relationships in broking or related insurance services.
- Deep understanding of coverage lines, insurance markets, and specialized products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and risk reports.
- Proven ability to develop innovative client solutions and generate revenue.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $275,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
