Job Description:  

The JROC New Product Introduction (NPI) team is seeking a driven and talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated professional with a strong background in electro-mechanical manufacturing processes, tooling design, and project management.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in bringing new products to life by partnering with cross-functional teams to successfully transition products from prototype into production. You will help shape manufacturing strategies and implement solutions that support quality, safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

 Essential Functions: 

·         Support a cross-functional team through the New Product Introduction process.

·         On-time completion of NPI deliverables, including: DFMA, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, manufacturing plans, and capability models.

·         Work with operations to assemble prototype and engineering validation builds for new products.

·         Create, maintain, and improve process documentation, work instructions, and procedures.

·         Design and implement electro-mechanical solutions to improve manufacturing operations

·         Support programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated equipment and PLC-controlled systems

·         Investigate production issues and establish root cause and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods

·         Train engineers and technicians on processes, systems, and standards

·         Monitor and analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend improvements for new and existing product lines

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or graduate degree with 2+ years of experience

Preferred Additional Skills: 

·         Willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced production environment

·         Proficient computer skills, including MS Office products

·         Experience with IPC workmanship standards, including IPC-610 & J-STD-001

·         Competency with 3d Modeling software, CREO preferred

·         Lean Six Sigma green belt or equivalent

·         Experience with machine visions systems (COGNEX, Keyence, etc.,)

·         Automation experience

·         Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a cross functional team

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is  $73,000 - $135,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
