Job Description - Speech-Language Pathologist

Speech-Language Pathologist

AnthroMed Education is a local organization and provider of school-based speech therapy services to Pre-K-12th grade schools throughout the Greater Northern Illinois area. We value working with our Clinicians to provide them with endless support, training, continuing education, and much more!

Our organization is seeking an ambitious and devoted Speech Language Pathologist who wants to make a lasting impact at a superb, diverse Charter School in Chicago, IL. The nominated SLP will be working between two schools, supporting K-12th grade students.

Position Overview:

  • SLP will work at a K-8th grade school 4 days per week and will support a 35-student caseload with mild-moderate disabilities.

  • SLP will work at a 7th-11th grade school 1 day a week and will support an 11-student caseload with mild-moderate disabilities.

  • Monday-Friday: 7:45 AM - 3:45 PM.

  • SLP will have their own space at each location. 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete the required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Meet regularly with teachers, and other related service staff to discuss individual students' modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions, or problems.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure students' needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and students on progress.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on appropriate committees.
  • Conduct speech and language case study evaluations.
  • Serve as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL)
