At Qwikkit, our Spray Booth Operators apply adhesive to cabinet components before thermofoil pressing. You’ll help ensure each part receives consistent coverage, meets quality standards, and is ready for the next stage of production.

Our Spray Booth team applies adhesive to MDF cabinet components before they move to the vacuum press. Consistent application is essential to achieving strong adhesion, protecting product quality, and reducing rework and waste.


What You Will Learn:



  • How to operate spray booth equipment safely and effectively.

  • How to prepare MDF components for adhesive application.

  • How to set up spray guns and use approved pressure settings.

  • How to recognize proper spray patterns and consistent adhesive coverage.

  • How to identify dry spots, runs, contamination, over-application, and other defects.

  • How to handle, mix, use, and store adhesive materials properly.

  • How spray application affects vacuum-press results and final product quality.

  • How to clean and maintain spray equipment and follow 6S practices.

  • How to track production output and communicate quality or equipment concerns.

Your work will directly influence the appearance, durability, and quality of Qwikkit’s finished products. By applying consistent adhesive coverage and identifying defects before parts reach the vacuum press, you will help prevent rework, material waste, production delays, and customer concerns.


Your attention to quality, safety, and equipment performance will also help maintain steady production flow and improve first-pass results at the press.


What You Will Become:


You will develop valuable skills in spray booth operation, adhesive application, quality inspection, chemical handling, equipment care, and manufacturing processes. As your experience grows, you may have opportunities to learn additional production equipment, expand your technical abilities, and pursue other opportunities within Qwikkit.


The Exciting Things You’ll Do:



  • Operate spray booth equipment to apply PUD adhesive to MDF cabinet components.

  • Confirm surfaces are clean and properly prepared before application.

  • Set up spray guns and use approved pressure settings.

  • Apply consistent adhesive coverage across each component.

  • Monitor spray patterns and make adjustments within established guidelines.

  • Inspect sprayed parts for dry spots, uneven coverage, runs, contamination, and over-application.

  • Separate and report parts that do not meet quality standards before they reach the vacuum press.

  • Handle, mix, use, and store adhesive materials according to specifications.

  • Minimize adhesive waste while supporting quality and production targets.

  • Clean spray guns, lines, equipment, and booth areas.

  • Report clogs, equipment problems, and performance concerns.

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance to support production flow.

  • Follow all PPE, chemical-handling, ventilation, safety, housekeeping, and 6S requirements.


What You Should Bring:


Must-haves:



  • A high school diploma or GED.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established processes.

  • Strong attention to detail, quality, safety, and material-handling requirements.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and consistently.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a production team.

  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, accountability, and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to understand safety instructions and communicate effectively with teammates.


Nice-to-haves:



  • Previous manufacturing or production experience.

  • Experience with spray booth operations, coatings, or adhesive application.

  • Experience working with PUD materials, MDF, wood products, or cabinet components.

  • Familiarity with spray guns, pumps, or pressure systems.

  • Familiarity with 6S practices, production tracking, or basic data entry.

  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
