Sr. Accountant

Position Summary 

The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Reporting to the Controller, this person will play a critical role in the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role involves managing financial transactions, supporting audit processes, and contributing to financial planning initiatives.

Essential Job Functions 

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries 
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts 
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP 
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations 
• Assist with audits and tax filings by gathering necessary documentation 
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in financial reporting 
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency 
• Manage W-9 and maintain 1099 compliance 
• Acts as backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable 
• Performs other duties as assigned  

Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• 3-5 years of accounting experience (Corporate accounting preferred) 

Software and Technology 

• Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP) highly desired 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• High attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
