Job Description - Sr. Accountant

Growing, Denver-based food manufacturer is looking for a Senior Accountant for its headquarters team. This is an on-site, contract-to-hire engagement with a clear intent to convert top performers to permanent roles.

The company has scaled quickly across several legal entities and is preparing for a new ERP. You'll help get the books right before that happens, working side by side with company ownership.

What you'll do:
- Reconcile accounts across multiple entities and resolve historical discrepancies
- Check AR and AP activity for accuracy and correct coding
- Help produce dependable monthly financials
- Take on focused cleanup projects one at a time, with direct guidance from leadership
- Help the business prepare for its ERP transition

What you bring:
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and 5+ years in hands-on accounting roles
- CPA or strong manufacturing accounting experience
- A track record of owning the monthly close and reviewing others' work
- Product costing or inventory experience (food or commodity is a bonus)
- Public accounting or multi-entity background is a plus
- Strong spreadsheet skills
- Ability to work on-site in downtown Denver (local candidates only; no relocation)
