Sr. Dynamics 365 Technical Architect

Position Summary

The Senior Dynamics 365 Technical Architect plays a pivotal role within a growing enterprise IT team responsible for the architecture, evolution, and long-term stability of the core ERP ecosystem built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). This position leads the technical design and execution of scalable custom solutions, including X++ extensions, API and SFTP-based integrations, and enterprise reporting frameworks using SQL and Power BI. The Architect oversees complex data mapping and system integration efforts across a broad landscape of connected enterprise applications, ensuring data integrity, high availability, and adherence to modern architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Technical Design: Drive end-to-end architecture, optimization, and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O using X++, Power Platform, REST APIs, and Azure services across primary business workstreams (Source to Pay, Plan to Produce, Order to Cash, Record to Report, and Inventory/Logistics).

• Enterprise System Integration: Architect and deliver robust integrations between D365 and external platforms—including MES, CRM, HCM, LMS, and Document/Quality Management Systems—leveraging APIs, web services, middleware, and Azure integration tools.

• Data Governance & System Administration: Conduct comprehensive data mapping for migrations and system integrations; manage D365 environment administration, deployment packages, user security profiles, release cycles, and data integrity checks.

• Compliance & Scalability: Ensure all systems and custom extensions adhere to industry-specific regulatory standards, such as Computer System Validation (CSV) and electronic records compliance (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11), while maintaining enterprise security and long-term scalability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of hands-on technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations / Supply Chain Management and Customer Engagement).

• Demonstrated expertise in X++ development, API architecture, middleware integrations, SQL, and data migration methodologies.

• Proven experience designing and managing complex, multi-system enterprise integration architectures involving D365 and modern cloud environments (Azure, Power Platform).

• Strong track record of technical leadership, project management, and effective collaboration with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Microsoft certifications such as Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (Finance or SCM), Power Platform Consultant, or Azure Fundamentals.

• Advanced experience with SQL Server Data Warehouse architecture, SSIS/SSRS, and custom Power BI dashboard development.

• Background operating within regulated environments requiring formal validation frameworks (such as Life Sciences or Manufacturing).

• Formal process improvement training or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
