That\u2019s where you come in!\n\nThis Senior Game Editor position draws on your mastery of the Japanese language, drive for thoroughness and consistency, and love of collaboration. Our team of outstanding editors collaborates to ensure that all text elements of Duel Masters card sets and related materials meet our quality standards for gameplay, player experience, rules accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and clarity.\n\nAt Wizards, we believe diversity of experience is fundamental to creating accessible and fun gaming experiences for all of our players. We encourage everyone to consider being a part of our team.\n\n## What You\u0027ll Do:\n\n * Craft the language of Duel Masters. Lead the team of internal and external editors plus the rules manager, owning the presentation and technical implementation of each new card\u0027s wording in Japanese. Ensure all cards and mechanics in upcoming releases adhere to the team\u2019s current philosophies, balancing historical precedents with innovation and player understanding. Make the final call on all text for cards and packaging.\n * Support creative text development. Collaborate with the teams providing creative and gameplay goals of each card, and ensure card names, flavor words, and flavor text align with and reinforces those goals.\n * Keep a sharp eye on quality. Lead the proofreading process on cards and packaging for content concerns, text errors, layout inconsistencies, and typographical anomalies.\n * Shape tomorrow\u2019s Duel Masters cards today. Plan out and optimize all future work with an eye towards efficient resource management, and schedule adherence. Engage with Game Designers to understand and improve potential new game mechanics in future sets. Compose, maintain, and expand upon workflow documentation.\n\n\n\n## What You\u0027ll Bring:\n\n * At least 1 year of professional experience at a Senior Level in editing, game writing, or comparable work; or 3+ years of experience with some project lead experience.\n * Strong content editing and proofreading skills, plus attention to detail.\n * Deeply collaborative outlook and the confidence and trust to work with others, balanced with proven communication skills in Japanese and English.\n * Flexible, adaptable, and creative, with a constant appetite for knowledge. Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks, teams, and projects simultaneously.\n\n\n\n## Nice to Have:\n\n * Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office (esp Word), Adobe Suite (Acrobat, InDesign), and/or Confluence.\n * Experience playing or interacting with Trading Card Games or various other kinds of games.\n\n\n\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer\n\nWizards of the Coast is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions.
