Sr. Graphic Designer

Overview

Join our talented, innovative, and diverse team of collaborative designers and produce a wide range of portfolio-worthy work. Your projects will include print and digital collateral such as large-format event graphics and publication layouts; advertising for print, digital, and social media; motion graphics; presentations; illustrations; and fun promotional items for special events. You will work closely with high-level executives to understand their goals, then strategize to make them come alive. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of fellow creatives to inspire, guide, and manage projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop visual concepts and designs that tell compelling stories across print, web, events, social media, and other channels


• Collaborate with key stakeholders across Esri to understand business needs, shape creative concepts, and translate organizational goals and challenges into effective visual narratives 


• Set and oversee the visual style, imagery, and storytelling for key design projects from concept through delivery


• Use strong knowledge of the Esri brand and current design practices to improve brand consistency and visual quality


• Continuously improve skills with the latest industry trends and design software


• Mentor junior designers and provide clear, constructive creative guidance


• Lead design projects from concept through completion while ensuring quality, brand consistency, and alignment with project goals

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, or a related field


• Portfolio Submission: Please include a link to your online portfolio or samples of recent work. Samples must demonstrate design skills.  


• Demonstrated experience translating business objectives into cohesive visual concepts and narratives 


• Excellent design skills in layout, composition, typography, and color theory  


• Ability to develop complex, integrated designs and establish visual direction across multiple channels, audiences, and deliverables 


• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and time-management skills, with the ability to articulate and defend creative decisions 


• Knowledge of design theory, visual storytelling, brand systems, and the technical principles required to achieve impactful visual outcomes 


• Adept in interpreting technical information (diagrams, infographics)  


• Experience establishing visual direction for integrated or high-profile projects


• Experience presenting creative concepts to senior stakeholders


• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects


• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator  


• Willingness to challenge yourself, inspire others, and believe all ideas are welcomed

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or similar field

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience directing illustration, photography, cartography, or other specialized visual content


• Art direction experience with multidisciplinary creative teams


• Experience managing brand systems and visual standards


• Experience creating visual narratives and writing copy for advertising campaigns


• Familiarity with emerging design technologies and AI-assisted tools
