Sr Manager Commercial Finance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Manager Commercial Finance to join the Legrand North America Team in West Hartford, CT. The individual in this role will have high visibility while supporting the Director Commercial Finance with a focus on commercial sales, economic and competitor analysis, and assisting with the development / integration of new IT systems. They will also perform monthly financial close processes, quarterly crucial reporting / presentations and develop business partner relationships with functional leaders.

What Will You Do?

• Act as financial liaison to support Legrand Finance with Marketing / Sales organizations and Legrand Headquarters in France.
• Provide leadership on a team across the North America business entities that will develop new systems and databases to improve Sales financial models and reporting.
• Identification of key system requirements across multiple divisions and functions.
• Trends and variance analysis of financial performance.
• Development of reporting systems.
• Documentation / procedures related to new systems.
• Assist in training and implementation of key stakeholders across all LNCA functions.
• Lead on-going financial support and integrity once new systems go-live.
• Perform monthly financial variance analysis.
• Perform ad-hoc project analysis to support LHI finance function.
• Assist with onboarding of new acquisitions.
• Responsible for key reporting deliverables to Legrand France and LNCA Executive Team including supporting earnings calls, executive presentations and ad-hoc analysis.
• Industry economic and competitor research and analysis.
• Participate in the budget and forecast process and provide finance support to functional cost center leaders; oversee and manage the creation and completion of annual budgets.
• Month end financial close including but not limited to journal entries, consolidation reports, monthly account reconciliations, and reporting.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related subject matter combined with experience.
• MBA preferred, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and relevant experience.

Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant Finance experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Strong analytical and data management skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends, proactive and recommend solutions.
• Exceptional computer skills and ability to analyze/structure large data. 
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and passion for Financial IT Projects combined with continues improvement mindset are required.
• Company specific accounting and finance software and systems a plus (BI, Planful and Tagetik) 
• Requires strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
• Able to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation. Knowledge and experience of how to effectively communicate System requirements to IT professionals a plus.
• Able to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus to extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
• Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
• Ability to travel as business needs require. 
• Role is Hybrid and the office is located in West Hartford, CT.
