This position is located in Melbourne, Florida. \n\n\nThe MBE Tools Engineer leverages prior engineering design/analysis experience to support Model-based Analysis (MBA), Model-based Design (MBD), Model-based Manufacturing (MBM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives related to engineering tools development. The candidate works independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of Engineering Tools and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of the assignment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Maturation of digital thread between engineering and manufacturing\n * Engineering CAD/PLM tools development and maturation of requirements\n * Documentation of engineering use cases\n * Validation and testing of CAD/PLM tool functionality\n * Creation of training/best practice documentation\n * Provide subject matter expert (SME) user support\n * Develop/update sector processes for CAD/PLM\n\n\n\nWe offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 8 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in design, analysis and/or engineering tools development discipline OR Master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in design, analysis and/or engineering tools development.\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance.\n * Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\n * Experience working in an aerospace design environment. Emphasis placed in the following disciplines: Structural Design/Analysis, Subsystems Design/Analysis, Electrical/Mechanical Routing, or Mechanism Design/Analysis.\n * Experience working with Teamcenter and NX (or equivalent PDM/PLM and CAD/CAE applications). \n * Experience developing code for utilities.\n * Communicates effectively and clearly presents technical approaches and recommendations.\n * Understanding and working knowledge of SysML\n * Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering practices and implementation\n * Experience using system modeling tools (Cameo preferred) to solve systems engineering problems.\n * Experience defining requirements with DOORS\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
