Reporting to the director of Strategic Communications, this senior-level role is responsible for helping to strategically align and shape communications messaging for business priorities and supporting executive leadership messaging and prep.\n\nJoin our team of dedicated professionals and define possible with Northrop Grumman. Your communications expertise will play a critical role in continuing to position the company as a technology innovator. This position may be based in Melbourne, FL; El Segundo, CA; or Falls Church, VA. \n\nIf you are a seasoned and collaborative communicator who enjoys a dynamic work environment, have a strong strategic communications mindset, an innovative spirit and a passion for strategic thinking, we\u2019re looking for you.\n\nYou\u2019ll make a difference by: \n\n * Leading, preparing and developing messaging for executive leadership to position Northrop Grumman priorities internally and externally\n * Overseeing and supporting messaging creation and content for business focus areas and priorities, partnering with functional colleagues and leadership to align to business objectives and messaging\n * Partnering with communications colleagues to develop a holistic and integrated communication strategy to achieve business and communication goals \n\n\n\nYou\u2019ll be a great fit if you:\n\n * Can confidently and independently interact with executive leaders and all levels of employees\n * Have experience in executive messaging and creating prep materials\n * Are experienced in developing and executing strategic communications plans to achieve business objectives and advance thought leadership\n * Are a strategic thinker, strong problem solver who is wildly creative and collaborative and pays attention to every detail\n * Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable leading through change\n * Are able to digest complex concepts and communicate them in simple, effective and compelling ways\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\nSr. Principal Employee Communications Representative Basic qualifications:\n\n * Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and deploying strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact \n * Bachelor\u2019s degree and minimum of 8 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience, master\u2019s degree and minimum of 6 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience, or a PhD and minimum of 4 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n * Must have the ability to travel up to 25%\n\n\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n * Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization \n * Experience developing productive relationships with executives\n * Experience in technology, aerospace, defense or other science-related business or government fields \n * Demonstrated judgement in decision making and leadership actions with capabilities to drive change through creative and/or other disruptive methods, ideas \u0026 approaches \n * Understanding of AP Stylebook\n * Experience with measurement tools and analyzing data\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
