POSITION OVERVIEW:  As a Senior Reviewer for LJA Land Development you will be responsible for confirming information presented on Single-Family Residential and Offsite Utility Construction Plans meets Agency criteria, matches Plat information, accurately labels the proposed design, and meets basic land development design criteria using Autodesk Civil 3D tools and applying engineering fundamentals.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Confirm design meets Agency and Technical Specifications criteria


• Review Submittal Plans for:
  
  
  
  • Single Family Residential Underground Utilities and Paving
  
  
  • Offsite Utilities (Water, Sanitary Sewer, Force Main, etc.)
  
  
  • Detention, Drainage, and Mass Grading
  
  
  • Lift Stations, Wastewater Treatment Plants, and Water Supply Plants
  
  
  
  


• Review Construction Plans and Bid Documents for:
  
  
  
  • Paving
  
  
  • Clearing & Grubbing
  
  
  • Offsite Utilities (Water, Sanitary Sewer, Force Main, etc.)
  
  
  • Lift Stations
  
  
  
  


• Write a Summary for each Submittal and Bid Review


• Provide guidance and / or review work for Initial Reviewers

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of an associate’s degree

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6-7+ years of Land Development drafting and design experience


• Strong knowledge of Local Agency Design Guidelines for Water, Sanitary, Drainage, and Paving


• Experience reviewing Lift Stations


• Familiar with utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D


• Strong communication skills


• Ability to build strong relationships


• Flexibility to change work assignments on short notice and under intensive deadlines
