At Northrop Grumman, you \u2019II have the resources, support, and team to do some of the best work of your career.\n\nThe quality and regulatory compliance Sr Staff Mission Assurance Engineer serves as a technical authority and advisor on quality system compliance, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific mandates. This role partners across engineering, manufacturing, contracts, programs, and supply chain to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and standards, while driving continuous improvement and risk reduction. A successful candidate in this role will be able to translate requirements into business outcomes, influence behavior, and proactively prevent problems. In this role, you will lead assessments, develop compliance strategies, and guide the implementation of regulatory and quality systems.\n\nThis position will be based full-time on-site in Linthicum, MD near the Baltimore area.\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get To Do:\n\n * Conduct comprehensive regulatory gap analyses and maturity assessments for the Quality Management System (QMS)\n\n * Actively support proposals to ensure appropriate interpretation of regulatory and contractual requirements\n\n * Evaluation of the organization\u2019s ability to meet all customer requirements. \n\n * Support negotiations of terms and conditions with respect to regulatory flowdowns\n\n * Cross-functionally mentor and train personnel on regulatory requirements\n\n * Serve as a non-advocate in the resolution of complex requirements interpretation\n\n * Supports ethics investigations in the area of requirements interpretation\n\n * Maintains up\u2011to\u2011date knowledge of regulations, standards, and industry best practices; disseminates insights internally\n\n * Potential to serve on industry boards\n\n * Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Required Qualifications :\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in a STEM field and 14 years of relevant experience, or a Master\u0027s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or a PhD and 10 years of relevant experience\n\n * Experience in design and manufacturing, or technology environment\n\n * Experience managing multiple concurrent projects\n\n * Experience with proposal development and contract negotiation\n\n * Demonstrated ability to navigate teams through conflict resolution\n\n * Experience with multiple industry standards across aerospace and manufacturing\n\n * Strong facilitation skills leading workshops and VSM sessions\n\n * Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance\n\n * U.S Citizenship Required\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Represents industry on writing committees for regulatory bodies\n\n * Secret clearance \n\n * ASQ Certified Quality Engineer\n\n * Advanced knowledge and application of industry standards\n\n * Experience briefing executive leadership on the interpretation of requirements\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $184,100.00 - $276,100.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
