SUMMARY: This position is responsible for planning and execution of the Maintenance Training Program. This includes:

• Coordinating and preparing training literature, manuals, systems, and leading class instruction on the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration and other job related maintenance subjects
• Maintaining training aids, student records ,and scheduling classes
• Performing maintenance orientation training for new maintenance team members
• Interfacing with appropriate vendors concerning training content and delivery
• Coordinating and leading safety training of the maintenance department; Coordinating, administering, and assessing hands-on training requirements of maintenance personnel
• Performing other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years industrial maintenance experience. Must have completed Level 8 in the Tyson Foods Maintenance Training Program.

Computer Skills: Competent in Microsoft Excel Word; knowledge of Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance preferred.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to successfully interface with all levels of the plant organization.

Certifications: Certification in any applicable training topics or techniques is aplus.

Travel: 1-5 trips per year as the need arises.

Special Skills: Proven good safety and attendance record along with strong management skills.
