Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer - Quality Management System (QMS)

We are assisting a very exciting organization and one that is continuously growing and expanding there market we are looking for an individual to join on to Contribute to the development of Quality Management System documents for procurement. This position is responsible for writing policy, procedure and processes to support the QMS development. You will also provide training and champion the QMS as well as undertake customer mandated audit programs, such as GM’s BIQS when required.  

Essential Functions: 

• Actively involved in the effective implementation of the Quality Management System for Procurement.
  


• Collaborate and partner with the corporations multiple divisions and plants to standardized policies and procedures.
  


• Write or update QMS documents including policies, procedures, etc.
  


• Analyze current and future procedure needs for Procurement.
  


• Prepare and provide training of QMS to internal and external stakeholders.
  


• Actively support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and programs for QMS improvement.
  


• Facilitate the custom mandated audit programs to supplier quality teams, for example, GM’s BIQS.
  


• Conduct gap analysis for customer mandated audit programs.
  


• Prepare and provide trainings of customer mandated audit programs to internal and external stakeholders.
  


• Promote the mindset of zero defects and MBM culture.
  


• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality.
  


• Excellent understanding and solid working experience with ISO9001\IATF16949\VDA6.3 standards.
  


• Experience with supplier quality management.
  


• Familiar with Manufacturing quality management.
  


• Familiar with quality tools, such as FMEA, SPC, etc.
  


• Quality auditing experience.
  


• Demonstrated ability of providing internal and external trainings.
  


• Working knowledge of SAP systems and other quality related software.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid experience as Quality Engineer in Automotive industry.
  


• ASQ Auditor certification or equivalent.
