Hiring Range: $140,401 - $229,103 

The posted salary range reflects Eastern’s expected hiring range. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply. The Senior Trust Officer is responsible for the effective administration of personal trust accounts, estate settlements, investment agency accounts, and other fiduciary relationships. This role ensures highquality client service, adherence to fiduciary standards, regulatory compliance, risk management, and the prudent oversight of assets. The Trust Officer serves as a relationship manager and trusted advisor to clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and internal partners.

Account Administration, Fiduciary Oversight and Business Development

  • Administer a portfolio of trusts, estates, investment agencies, and custody accounts.

  • Interpret trust instruments, wills, and legal documents.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Conduct ongoing account reviews.

  • Client Relationship Management 

  • Serve as primary contact for clients and beneficiaries.

  • Provide proactive communication and guidance.

  • Generate new business opportunities.

    Risk Management, Compliance & Regulatory Duties 

  • Complete required administrative, investment, and compliance reviews.

  • Work with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams.

  • Project coordination and participation. 

  • Coordinate valuations, tax filings, and distributions.

 

Problem Solving

  • Requires strong independent judgment, the ability to interpret complex documents, evaluate beneficiary needs, and communicate sensitive information appropriately. 

     

  • Strong ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, juggle a variety of tasks, operate independently, pay attention to detail, and interact with staff at all levels.
  • Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to accept new assignments and pitch-in.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a member of a larger team.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in wealth or trust administration.
  • Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) and/or Trust School desirable, but not required. 

 

Skills/Knowledge 

  • Knowledge of trust law, estate administration, and fiduciary standards.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and trust systems.
