Staff Educator - Pre Access - Days

The Scheduling/IDS Educator is responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating training programs for the assigned areas. The Educator will identify staff learning needs, set educational goals and implement training methods to improve efficiencies and skills. The Educator will coordinate the system workflow changes and provide onsite support to ensure operational consistencies. The Educator will monitor training progress and re-design objectives to achieve optimal outcomes. The Educator will provide assistance to the team as required.

• Responsible for the development and delivery of assigned system training for departmental staff
  
  
  
  • Oversees the development of curriculum, course outlines, objectives and teaching methods
  
  
  • Identifies staff educational needs; develops, prepares and implements education based on identified learning needs
  
  
  • Selects and implements appropriate training methods to meet educational goals
  
  
  • Assesses educational needs and competencies to develop program to improve efficiencies and skills
  
  
  • Prioritizes educational programs with respect to organizational needs to promote employees� personal and professional growth
  
  
  • Provides assistance to team members as required
  
  


• Leads on-going optimization efforts and coordinates workflow evaluations, improvements and system design
  
  
  
  • Monitors program and makes recommendations for new and revised workflows
  
  
  • Adjusts training programs to ensure relevant and accurate information is delivered
  
  
  • Partners with Radiology Office Coordinator and IS staff to coordinate system upgrades, modifications, testing, and development of educational materials
  
  
  • Ensures uniform practices of the system are consistent with organization and industry standards
  
  


• Evaluates program training effectiveness and provides feedback
  
  
  
  • Evaluates effectiveness and appropriateness of program; re-design objectives to achieve optimal outcomes
  
  
  • Creates development plans and strategies for staff retraining
  
  
  • Participates in performance improvement activities as required
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Informatics, or healthcare related field; Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement

Experience:

• Four (4) years working in scheduling and electronic health record navigation in a hospital or medical setting. One (1) year as an Educator or Trainer role in healthcare scheduling experience preferred
