Pharmacy Hours and Location:
- This pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Typical pharmacist schedules are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday coverage may be required

As a Staff Pharmacist on the Specialty Pharmacy team at Omnicell, you'll contribute to a community's well-being, act as a trusted advisor to patients, and ensure pharmacy operations are efficient, effective, and continually improving while being part of a global organization dedicated to innovation in medication management.
- Provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence
- Perform product verification and data verification activities to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing
- Provide clinical counseling and education to specialty pharmacy patients
- Build effective relationships with physicians, providers, and healthcare teams to support positive patient outcomes
- Support pharmacy operations by providing coverage for scheduled absences and staffing needs
- Embrace a deep understanding of pharmacy operations and a drive for continual improvement, learning, and leading to provide the best possible patient care and empower the pharmacy team's development
- Stay informed of regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and knowledge of specialty disease states including Oncology, Rheumatology, and Endocrinology

What You'll Bring
Basic Qualifications:
- Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Successful completion of Connecticut state pharmacy board examination
- Active Connecticut Pharmacist License in good standing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in specialty pharmacy
- Experience counseling patients on specialty medications
- Strong clinical communication and patient education skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and other movement for the duration of the shift and lifting up to 25 pounds
