This position is located in Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do:\n\nThe qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman\u2019s Space System team supporting the Navy\u2019s Nuclear Sea Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program.\n\nThis will include development of hardware, software and systems for all parts of the weapon system. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers.\n\nResponsibilities include design, development, test radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products. Includes red/blue radar modeling, antenna design, receiver/transmitter design, RCS analysis, and link budget analysis.\n\nThe successful candidate will be able to perform the following essential functions:\n\n * RF hardware testing and, design and analysis using computer aided design (CAD)\n\n * Proficiency in electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic analysis, and performance budgeting/allocation\n\n * Conduct trade studies for electrical architecture and component selection\n\n * Tolerance and stability analysis and test data analysis for respective hardware designs\n\n * Coordinate among multiple disciplines to balance requirements\n\n * Finalize the electrical design, support prototype and final hardware build \u0026 test\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Education and Experience: 12 Years with BS; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD\n\n * US Citizenship with an Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret in a reasonable timeframe.\n\n * Understanding of radio frequency (RF) theory as it relates to both communications and radar\n\n * Familiarization with DoD systems and subsystems (e.g. weapons platforms, C2ISR platforms, SATCOM, IFF, radar, radios, data links, munitions)\n\n * Analyze communications systems for RF applications. (Familiar with RF analyses such as link budgets, digital modulation/coding, gain/loss budgets, noise figure, etc.)\n\n * Experience in modeling and analyze RF systems and networks using modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, STK, Qualnet, and Keysight SystemVue, Finite Element Modeling tools for antennas and electromagnetics such as ANSYS HFSS and Altair FEKO.\n\n * Familiar with deployment of DoD Systems such as IFF, Radar Systems, Radio Communications, Data Links, Munitions, Aircraft Representation\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active DoD Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS//SCI)\n\n * Experience modeling weapon system performance using Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)\n\n * Experience with Navy submarine and/or cruise missile systems\n\n * Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering using CAMEO\n\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n \n\\- Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\\- 401k \n\\- Educational Assistance \n\\- Life Insurance \n\\- Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\\- Paid Time Off \n\\- Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\\- Employee Discounts \n\nThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. \n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
