As a Housekeeping Status Board Operator, you are the central hub of communication and coordination for the housekeeping team. You play a vital role in maintaining smooth daily operations by assigning rooms, scheduling Guest Room Attendants efficiently, and accurately tracking room statuses. Your timely, professional handling of calls from guests, team members, and other departments ensures responsive service and operational continuity. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence directly support guest satisfaction and the overall success of the property.
Job Description:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
- Operate multi-line phones, hand-held radios, and desktop communication systems to coordinate housekeeping operations and dispatch service calls efficiently
- Schedule Guest Room Attendants to clean assigned rooms and maintain daily cleaning updates
- Receive and log guest laundry, dry cleaning, and lost and found items; escalate guest concerns as needed
- Maintain a daily log of service activity and outstanding requests, ensuring timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of hospitality, guest service, or administrative experience in a similar environment preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
- Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
