Now Hiring: Sterile Processing Technician

Full-Time | Urology & Ophthalmology ASC | Fresno, CA | 300+ Cases per Month

Chestnut Surgery Center, an AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center affiliated with Urology Associates of Central California, is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to join our high-volume surgical team in Fresno. We perform 300+ cases per month across urology and ophthalmology, offering steady, predictable case volume and the chance to build deep specialty expertise in a focused, well-run surgical environment.

• Predictable, full-time daytime schedule, outpatient ASC hours, no hospital call rotation.

What You'll Do

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation for urology and ophthalmology cases.


• Prepare and package instrument trays according to physician preference cards and count sheets.


• Operate and monitor steam and low-temperature sterilization equipment, including biological and chemical indicator testing.


• Maintain sterilization logs and instrument tracking documentation for AAAHC compliance.


• Coordinate tray turnover to keep pace with same-day case scheduling.


• Assist with operating and procedure room turnover between cases, including removal of used supplies and instrumentation and restocking of sterile trays, to support timely case starts.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Prefer at least 1 year of sterile processing experience in a hospital or ASC setting.


• Comfort working with delicate microsurgical instrumentation.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep pace in a high-volume surgical schedule.
