About Us

Conestoga Oral Surgery is a respected oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with seven board-certified surgeons serving patients across our Hummelstown, Lancaster, and Lititz locations. What You'll Do as a Sterilization Technician

• Clean, disinfect, inspect, package, and sterilize dental and oral surgery instruments using established infection-control procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Operate and monitor autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilization equipment, including documenting sterilization cycles.
• Inspect and prepare instruments and sterile trays so our clinical teams have the correct equipment and supplies ready for procedures.
• Maintain and restock sterile instruments, disposable supplies, and sterilization materials, communicating when items need to be reordered.
• Follow infection-control and safety protocols when handling contaminated instruments, sharps, biohazardous materials, and sterile supplies.
• Clean and maintain sterilization equipment and work areas, reporting equipment or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with oral surgeons, surgical assistants, and other clinical team members to keep instruments moving efficiently through the sterilization process.
• Organize contaminated, clean, packaged, and sterile instruments appropriately to help prevent cross-contamination.

• Trainable: Previous sterile processing experience or a medical background is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate; a high school diploma is preferred.
• Active: Able to stand for extended periods while completing daily sterilization responsibilities.
• Team-Oriented: Brings a positive, self-motivated approach and works collaboratively to support excellent patient care.
