Stock Clerk I

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 

• Assists crafts with issue tickets for materials on-hand; verifies that issue tickets contain enough information for correct billing. 
• Assists customers in identifying parts from various distributor catalogs for ordering purposes. (10%)
  Drives truck to pick up supplies at off campus locations; delivers supplies to Central Area and other campus locations. 
• Inspects and confirms in-coming orders; investigates and resolves any discrepancies; enters receiving information into computer system. 
• Investigates price and availability of items; places orders for items under specified amount with supervisor's guidance.
• Locates requested items in inventory; charges out using department policies and procedures; assigns stock numbers to items.
• Performs one or more of the following: matches invoices to RFP's, verifies pricing, enters invoice information into computer, copies invoice for records, and /or sends invoice to accounting for payment. 
• Places and maintains inventory in logical, secure, and neat order; notifies appropriate individual of items' arrival; dispenses items in accordance with University policies and procedures. 
• Unloads shipments; reviews invoices, purchase orders, and other documents. 
• Other duties assigned.
   

High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of appropriate experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
