If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.\n\nWe are currently seeking a Storage and Backup Engineer supporting EPIC - Remote to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).\n\nA Storage Engineer supporting an Epic infrastructure build, migration, and managed services plays a vital role in ensuring that Epic\u2019s storage architecture meets the strict performance, reliability, and compliance standards required by Epic Systems\n\nDesign and Provisioning of Epic-Compliant Storage Architecture: \n\n * Design and configure storage systems (SAN/NAS) to meet Epic\u2019s System Requirements and specific performance benchmarks (e.g., IOPS, latency).\n\n\n\nProvision storage for Epic components such as: \n\n * Chronicles (operational database), Clarity/Caboodle (reporting and analytics), Interconnect, Web Blob, Hyperspace, and other app-tier components.\n * Ensure proper RAID levels, thin provisioning, deduplication, and tiering strategies based on workload needs.\n\n\n\nData Migration and Cutover Planning:\n\n * Plan and execute data migrations as part of Epic go-lives or data center/cloud transitions, ensuring zero data loss and minimal downtime.\n * Support cutover activities for moving production environments between storage platforms or sites.\n * Use tools like SnapMirror, Veeam, or native vendor tools (NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure, etc.) for replication and migration.\n\n\n\nPerformance Monitoring and Optimization:\n\n * Continuously monitor storage utilization, throughput, latency, and IOPS for Epic environments.\n * Proactively identify and resolve storage performance bottlenecks that may impact Epic application speed or reliability.\n * Fine-tune storage system settings and coordinate with server and database teams to align with Epic\u2019s performance tuning guidance.\n\n\n\nBackup, DR, and Compliance Support:\n\n * Implement and maintain Epic-approved backup strategies and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.\n * Coordinate backup policies for Epic Chronicles, Clarity, Caboodle, and image repositories in accordance with Epic\u0027s DR recommendations.\n * Ensure HIPAA-compliant storage practices, including encryption at rest, access controls, and audit logging.\n * Support DR testing and validation cycles for Epic readiness and compliance\n\n\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30+ billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
