Store Director

The Store Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and financial performance of the store. This position provides strategic direction to department leaders, ensures exceptional customer service, drives sales and profitability, maintains compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.

• Lead, coach, and develop department managers and store associates to achieve operational and financial goals.


• Create a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, engagement, and retention.


• Conduct performance discussions, provide ongoing feedback, and implement development plans for management team members.


• Ensure succession planning and talent development efforts support the long-term success of the store.


• Promote company values and maintain a culture focused on customer service and operational excellence.

• Direct all daily store operations to ensure efficient and effective execution.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, labor regulations, and safety requirements.


• Monitor store conditions to maintain a clean, safe, and customer-friendly shopping environment.


• Coordinate operational priorities across all departments to maximize productivity and efficiency.


• Drive execution of company initiatives, promotions, programs, and merchandising standards.

• Develop and execute plans to achieve sales, profit, labor, and shrink goals.


• Review financial reports, operating metrics, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities and risks.


• Manage labor expenses and staffing levels to meet business needs while controlling costs.


• Monitor inventory levels and oversee shrink reduction efforts throughout the store.


• Hold department leaders accountable for achieving financial and operational objectives.

• Champion a customer-first culture throughout the store.


• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.


• Ensure outstanding service standards are consistently delivered by all departments.


• Analyze customer feedback and implement action plans to improve the shopping experience.


• Build positive relationships within the local community and represent the store professionally.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and company regulatory requirements.


• Maintain proper documentation and operational records.


• Lead safety initiatives and respond appropriately to workplace incidents.


• Ensure all associates complete required training and certifications.


• Oversee audit readiness and corrective action plans when necessary.
