Stormwater Maintenance Worker II is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position covered under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Teamsters, Local 58 and the City of Ridgefield. This is a 40-hour per week job with several possible schedules: Monday through Friday 7AM-3:30PM; Monday through Thursday 6:30AM to 5PM or a 9/80 flex schedule.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the general direction of the Utilities Supervisor, this position performs skilled maintenance activities and uses specialized equipment in the construction, maintenance, cleaning and repair of stormwater systems. As part of a maintenance crew, Stormwater Maintenance Worker II performs the following duties:
This position includes heavy work which requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently; visual ability to see clearly at close and far distances, identify and distinguish colors; and physical abilities such as walking, reaching, balancing, crawling, etc.
Stormwater Maintenance Worker II is the journey level in a job classification series: for an experienced worker, not a trainee, who understands the complexity of the work and has the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job duties with limited supervision at the time of hire.
