Strategic Alliances Senior Manager – Nvidia (Personal Systems)

Description -

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Alliances Senior Manager to lead the strategic engagement with Nvidia for HP’s Personal Systems divisions. This role acts as the primary bridge between HP and Nvidia, focusing on product and technology alignment while orchestrating commercial success. You will support our Gaming, Consumer, and Commercial PC divisions, ensuring that HP builds durable long-term advantages through the Nvidia partnership.

While the role is primarily focused on product and technology strategy, it requires a leader who can facilitate end-to-end orchestration, working closely with marketing, GTM, and category teams to drive Nvidia-enabled outcomes.

**Onsite in Palo Alto office 3 days a week

Key Responsibilities:

Product & Technology Strategy

  • Strategic Alignment: Define and drive the strategic agenda for the Nvidia alliance, specifically regarding the integration of the Nvidia accelerated computing technology stack into HP’s Personal Systems roadmap.
  • Technical Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison for technical engagement, fostering deep collaboration between HP product engineering and Nvidia to unlock innovation in silicon, AI agents, and gaming technologies.
  • Long-Term Positioning: Apply strategic thinking to build positions that enable long-term, durable competitive advantage for HP within the personal computing landscape.

Personal Systems Business Integration

  • Divisional Partnership: Serve as a dedicated strategic partner to the Gaming, Consumer, and Commercial PC divisions, translating their specific customer needs into actionable alliance initiatives with Nvidia.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead in a highly matrixed environment, coordinating across product management, engineering, and supply chain to ensure valid execution of alliance objectives.

Commercial Momentum & GTM

  • Commercial Orchestration: Leverage a strong commercial mindset to bridge the gap between HP and Nvidia GTM models. Orchestrate joint efforts across Category and Sales teams to create commercial momentum for Nvidia-powered HP products.
  • Marketing & Funding: Work closely with marketing teams to align messaging and identify opportunities to maximize alliance partner funding to support strategic initiatives and profitability.

Relationship Management & Health

  • Alliance Leadership: Manage the end-to-end execution of the relationship, serving as the primary point of escalation to proactively resolve conflicts and maintain a high-trust partnership.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Foster strong relationships with Nvidia executives and operational teams to ensure continuous alignment on strategic goals and mutual benefits, preventing relationship fatigue.
  • Operational Fluency: Leverage deep knowledge of Nvidia’s operational culture to navigate their organization effectively, ensuring HP acts as a frictionless partner while securing necessary resources.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
    • 10+ years of experience in strategic alliances, business development, or product management within the technology industry.
    • Specific Requirement: Proven experience working with or at Nvidia, including existing relationships and a strong understanding of their operational culture.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of the personal computing landscape, specifically regarding Gaming, Consumer, and Commercial customer needs.
    • Technical Aptitude: Strong curiosity and technical fluency; ability to understand and articulate the underlying Nvidia accelerated computing technology stack.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Matrix Leadership: Exceptional cross-functional collaborator with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment.
    • Strategic & Commercial Mindset: Ability to think long-term while understanding the immediate GTM models required to monetize technology partnerships.
    • Communication: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of bridging the gap between technical engineering teams and commercial business leaders.
