Location

This position is based in Tysons, VA, with in-office collaboration alongside the structural engineering and BIM teams.

Note: Candidates must have strong Revit proficiency and the ability to produce, organize, and coordinate construction drawings for building projects. Structural drafting, BIM, or construction document experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Create and coordinate structural construction drawings using Revit.
• Develop plans, sections, details, and drawing sets for structural engineering projects.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to set up and organize project models.
• Translate engineering direction and design intent into clear, accurate drawings.
• Coordinate drawing updates and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support BIM standards, model organization, and document consistency.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and coordination.
• Assist with AutoCAD drafting when needed.
• Use Microsoft Office and general computer tools to support project documentation.
• Build knowledge of structural systems, construction documents, and engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Experience producing construction drawings is required.
• Ability to create and organize plans, sections, and details.
• Ability to set up projects based on discussions with engineers and project managers.
• General working knowledge of building structural systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other BIM team members.
• Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency.
• AutoCAD experience is preferred.
• Structural drafting, BIM, architecture, engineering, or construction documentation experience is preferred.

Requirements: Must-haves: 1+ yr of ‘Revit drafting’ exp and experience producing construction drawings. U.S. Work auth w/out sponsorship needs.

• Salary Bands:

  • 1 to 2 years Revit drafting or BIM experience: $60k to $70k

  • 2 to 4 years structural, architectural, or engineering Revit experience: $70k to $82k

  • 4 to 6 years strong structural BIM/Revit technician experience: $82k to $95k

  • 6+ years with strong structural drawing production, project setup, coordination, and BIM standards experience: $95k to $105k+
