Structural Steel Welder / Laborer

Lakeside Structures is hiring a Welder / Laborer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in structural steel construction. This role is for someone who can weld, rig, fit, and work alongside a steel crew in real job site conditions.

• Weld structural steel components (columns, beams, brackets, connections)
  

• Assist with steel erection, fitting, and bolting
  

• Read basic shop drawings and field layouts
  

• Use grinders, torches, drills, and other steel fabrication tools
  

• Rig, move, and position steel safely
  

• Perform general labor duties as needed to support the crew
  

• Maintain a clean, safe job site
  

• Follow all safety procedures and job site rules
  

Requirements

• 3–5 years experience in structural steel welding and construction
  

• Proficient in stick welding (SMAW); MIG experience a plus
  

• Experience working at heights (lifts, scaffolding, steel structures)
  

• Comfortable working outdoors in Texas heat, cold, wind, and rain
  

• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
  

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  

• Ability to take directions and work as part of a crew
  

• OSHA 10 preferred (not required)
