Structural Superintendent Data Center Construction

Mobile, AL | General Contractor | Mission Critical Construction

We are working confidentially with a General Contractor delivering a major data center project in the Mobile, Alabama area and are looking to appoint an experienced Structural Superintendent to join the site team.

This is a full-time, site-based position.

Recent data center construction experience is essential.

The Role

The Structural Superintendent will take ownership of day-to-day field operations across the structural scope, working closely with Project Managers, trade partners, engineers and the wider construction team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing structural construction activities across the project
  

• Overseeing structural steel, concrete, foundations and associated structural systems
  

• Coordinating structural subcontractors and field crews
  

• Driving daily site coordination, sequencing and short-term planning
  

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and field requirements
  

• Monitoring progress against the project schedule
  

• Identifying constructability, sequencing and coordination issues
  

• Coordinating structural works with civil, architectural and MEP teams
  

• Ensuring installations meet quality and project requirements
  

• Maintaining strong site safety standards
  

• Supporting inspections, testing, punch list and closeout
  

• Leading subcontractor and field coordination meetings
  

• Reporting progress, risks and issues to project leadership
  

What We’re Looking For

• Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential
  

• Strong General Contractor or Construction Manager background
  

• Experience as a Structural Superintendent, Superintendent or General Superintendent
  

• Strong experience with structural steel, concrete and foundations
  

• Experience managing structural subcontractors and field crews
  

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
  

• Experience on large-scale ground-up construction projects
  

• Strong safety, quality and field leadership experience
  

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  

• Ability to work full-time on site in the Mobile, Alabama area
