The mission of the Norman Topping Student Aid Fund (NTSAF) is to cultivate the development of our Topping Scholars and Fellows to be leaders in their communities. To achieve this mission, the NTSAF serves as a scholarship and holistic support program for first-generation and low-income students, many of whom are from the communities surrounding USC. The NTSAF provides access to resources, strengths-based advising, community service opportunities, and purposeful programming that fosters a sense of belonging, resilience, and growth.

About the Opportunity
The Norman Topping Student Aid Fund (NTSAF), a unit within the Office of Academic Programs, is seeking TWO Student Services Advisor I to join its team. The Student Programs Advisors will work collaboratively with the NTSAF team to help foster intellectual and personal development for NTSAF Scholars and Fellows through a wide variety of projects and initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Experience: At least one year of experience in college student advising or a related field
Minimum Field of Expertise: education, social sciences, psychology, social work
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field
Preferred Experience: 2+ years of experience in college student advising or a related field
Preferred Field Expertise: college student development, higher education administration, educational counseling

Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $29.00 – 30.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
