Substitute Teacher- Summer Camp

We are seeking reliable, flexible, and student-focused Substitute Teachers to provide coverage at our after-school program locations. Substitute Teachers play an important role in maintaining a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment when regular staff members are unavailable.

Substitutes may work at one or both of our program locations:

Position Responsibilities

• 
  

  Provide classroom coverage for scheduled staff absences.

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise and engage students in academic and enrichment activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a safe, positive, and professional learning environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow lesson plans and daily schedules provided by site staff.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with site leadership and program staff.

  
  

Scheduling

• 
  

  Assignments are managed through Connecteam.

  
  


• 
  

  Scheduled and last-minute substitute opportunities will be assigned through the app.

  
  


• 
  

  Substitutes may accept or decline most available shifts based on their availability.

  
  

Friday On-Call Requirement

All Substitute Teachers are required to be on call each Friday until 8:30 AM.

• 
  

  A Friday shift will be placed on your Connecteam schedule each week at the location closest to you.

  
  


• 
  

  If coverage is not needed, the shift will be removed by 8:30 AM.

  
  


• 
  

  If coverage is needed, you will report to the assigned location as scheduled.

  
  


• 
  

  Friday is the only required on-call day.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred. Applicants should indicate whether they currently hold a valid PEL.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups.

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable transportation to assigned location(s).

  Dependable, flexible, and professional.
