Maintenance Supervisor – Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of plant maintenance operations, including leading and directing maintenance technicians in a food manufacturing environment. The role supports the Maintenance Manager in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations while minimizing production downtime and ensuring preventative maintenance programs are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, evaluate, and train a team of approximately 15 maintenance technicians
• Foster a well-trained, motivated, and safety-focused maintenance staff
• Coordinate maintenance policies and procedures in partnership with the Maintenance Manager
• Manage preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities
• Diagnose and assist with repairs involving:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Plumbing
  • PLC/electronic controls
• Quickly assess maintenance issues to minimize production downtime
• Promote and maintain a “Safety First” culture
• Ensure compliance with:
  • SQF Quality Management policies
  • GMP practices
  • Company maintenance and safety procedures

Requirements

Education

• Associate degree or technical program certificate preferred
  OR
• 5+ years of related experience and training
  OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance lead or supervisor with direct reports
• Experience training, directing, and evaluating maintenance technicians required

Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and plant operations
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience required
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills:
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Outlook
• SAP experience is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Schedule

• Shift: 1st Shift
• Monday – Friday
• 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Some weekend work required
